2015 WINE COURSES
Drinking good wine with good food in good company is one of life's greatest pleasures... a pleasure that can be made even more pleasurable if the good wine is matched with its ideal food partner!
During our wine courses we will teach you many things about wine. We will examine how wine is made, where it comes from and most importantly, why we like it (and why sometimes we don't).
We will teach you a simple and practical, systematic approach to tasting - one that you can practice and apply to every wine you'll taste. This will not only make buying and drinking wine more enjoyable, but it'll also improve your skills of pairing wine with food.
There will also be more specialized wine courses and wine tastings with themes such as:
- Discovering local wines and wine makers (among them Serge, the only fulltime postman/winemaker in France, and Les Cabotines, a small vineyard run by 10 women!)
- Rose wine - only in summer?
- The surprising Grands Crus wines of the Languedoc Roussillon
- From the vine to the glass
The courses are given by Nathalie Waltersheid who is a W.S.E.T. (Wine & Spirit Education Trust) trained wine expert and French Sommelier. She is also one of the 10 women of the Domaine Les Cabotines.
Courses are fun, informal and relaxed, and they are limited to 10 people.
As Anthelme Brillat-Savarin said: "A meal without wine is like a day without sunshine". And we don't have many of those here in the South of France!
